Bb Vista Grade Book. Advantages to Instructors. Any gradable assignment, assessment, discussion topic created in Bb Vista will automatically be assigned a column in the Grade Book. Once a grade has been assigned the grades appears in your Grade Book. Additional columns can be added.

Advantages to Instructors • Any gradable assignment, assessment, discussion topic created in Bb Vista will automatically be assigned a column in the Grade Book. • Once a grade has been assigned the grades appears in your Grade Book. • Additional columns can be added.
Types of Columns • Automatically Added • Quiz • Grading Form • Numeric • Alphanumeric (rarely used)
Created Columns (Most Commonly Used) • Alphanumeric (not recommended) • Calculated (test average, final grade, etc.) • Letter grade (based on a Calculated Grade) • Numeric (f2f scores) • Grading Form (chats, in class presentations, etc.) • Selection list (rarely used) • Text (email address, etc.)
Calculated • Formulas can be added to compute test averages, totals, drop the lowest grade, or include the higher score, etc. • A calculated column is already created for the final grade. Enter a formula based on the grading scale in the Syllabus.
Options • Create Column • Import from Spreadsheet • Reorder Columns • Grades • Members • View All (RECOMMENDED: This view is what the students will see.)
Other Options • Send Mail (Select multiple names.) • Export to Spreadsheet (Backup your grades on a regular basis.) • Grant Access (Rarely used.) • Deny Access (Only used if a student is not on your Banner Roster after Midterm.) . . .
Grade Book Options • Column Settings – delete/hide columns • Freeze/Unfreeze Columns – similar to Excel • Find Members – by role, grades, missing grades, etc. • Show All Members • Hide/Show Un-enrolled Member Data • View Audit History
Advantage for Students • If the grade has been released to the students, they can view their grades by going to My Grades. They can keep up with progress in the course.
