Supplies • A medium bowl • A large bowl • A mixing spoon • Measuring cups: ¼, ¾, 1 • Measuring spoons: 1 tsp, 1 tbsp • 2 baking sheets and racks
Ingredients • 2 ¼ cups flour • 1 tsp baking soda • 1 tsp salt • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter • ¾ cup granulated sugar • ¾ cup brown sugar
Ingredients (continued) • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 2 large eggs • 2 cups (12oz pkg) semi-sweet chocolate chips • 1 cup chopped nuts
Directions • Preheat oven to 375°F • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl • Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition • Gradually beat in flour mixture
Directions (continued) • Stir in morsels and nuts • Drop by rounded tablespoon onto an ungreased baking sheets • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes • Cool on baking sheets for two minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely • Makes about 5 dozen cookies
