Fast Track Schedule for Guideline Update(as reported in the April INC Report to the NANC) • INC has agreed to complete all FCC Order-related work to the Thousand Block (NXX-X) Pooling Administration Guidelines and Central Office Code Assignment Guidelines by the June 20, 2000 deadline. • Letter sent May 5, 2000 from ATIS General Counsel transmitting INC questions identified at LNPA & CO/NXX Workshops to the FCC is attached.
Audit Activity(as reported in the April INC Report to the NANC) • Revisions of the Central Office Code Assignment Guidelines to address audits have been completed. The document will be reissued after INC 50 (June 2000). • Seven issues have been introduced to address audits for other INC Guidelines.
UNP Activity(as reported in the April INC Report to the NANC) • INC has established a 25 page UNP Working Document from the contributions from SBC, MCI WorldCom, GTE, and AT&T.
COCUS II Status(as reported in the April INC Report to the NANC) • Question 6: Do carriers have to have a separate COCUS report for each OCN? • Question 7: If two OCNs belong to the same company and only one OCN completed its COCUS, can the non-reporting OCN delay resources for the reporting OCN? • Question 8: For SPs that fail to provide a COCUS, should the NANPA deny a request on a rate center, NPA or state basis? (To be developed by the NANPA). • Question 9: Does the calculation in paragraph 35 for available numbers preclude the PA from reporting on available numbers?
NANP Expansion Report(as reported in the April INC Report to the NANC) • INC has set June 2001 for its final NANP Expansion recommendation delivery date. The objective will be to recommend one expansion option. • Coming to consensus on a single recommendation is contingent upon responses received from NANP area national regulatory authorities by September 2000. • INC has sent a follow-up letter to the 19 national regulators regarding the two main assumption in the INC Interim NANP Expansion Report. • ATIS/NANPA are also contacting the national regulators to ensure they are in receipt of the INC correspondence and Interim NANP Expansion Report.
