Employee Search & LDAP • Simple Employee Search ties into LDAP and displays the same data within CityShare. • More advanced searches can be conducted in the Citywide Employee Contact Directory at http://citydirectory.nycnet. • Advanced Search in the Employee Search module links to the Citywide Employee Contact Directory.
Employee Search & LDAP • Advanced filtering options. • Email address lookups can now reference ldap.nycnet. • LDAP participating agencies need to keep data clean and sensitive accounts hidden. • Batch upload agencies should automate directory exports and upload this on a weekly basis. • Long-term strategy is to have an enterprise wide identity management solution. • As part of this strategy, we encourage every agency to put every employee’s PMS ID and active code into the agency directory.
