Aug 658k event + 200k empty 158 GeV p+p High pt experiment 18. Aug - 34.1M event + 3.2M empty until 11. Oct. until 24. Aug 47M /all/ Krypton calibration In MD time 30. Aug – 4. Sept.

  3. Test run in May The time of the run was shorter, because of the MD times. The new BPDs were installed and now they are working fine. After the test run, we could very fast start the real data taking.

  4. Main problem Magnet Vertex1 magnet regulation /fortunately only regulation/ Repaired by converter groups Pumps of main TPCs MTPC-L broken membrane /regulation problem/ MTPC-R ?? /To high O2 content/ Changed of pumps solved the problem, Martin repaired the first one, and it was used for second case. Cooling problems Mixed waters stopped several times Repaired by CERN services

  5. MD 158 GeV pp MD Gas problems Kr calibration 158 GeV pp 31GeV p, Long target 13 GeV pp MD Preparation MD MD Magnet problem

  6. Krypton calibration 83RB37 83Kr36 with electron capture Kr given to the TPC gas (half life of 1.9 hr) one by one by TPCs. Aim: Calibrate the amplitude par channels The energy measured at Kr 10 times higher as the track  have to lower the gain  only relative calibration possible For the calibration we need 104 hits/channel, dependent of the source intensity 106 event/TPC need, if we can measure 50 hits/sector/event We can analyze only one pad clusters For the good enough resolution we need 512 timeslices measurements  half of the statistics on the same time, because of the longer readout time. /measurement with oscillator trigger/ Accumulated statistics: VTPC1: 4.8 M (1) MTPC-L: 3.7 M (2) VTPC2: 2.3 M (4) MTPC-R: 3.2 M (3) Who is going to analyze it???????

LV, cooling During the run we changed 1 Mb in VTPC2, but later turned out, the power supply unit is broken Several times the mixed water stopped  LV switched of automatically twice the pressure in the chilled water dropped – LV also switched of automatically Solved by CERN services Broken tube in the system Cleaned filter Installed 2 new measurements for the output of the chilled water at TPC cooling. The configuration of the cooling system was wrong, not followed the status of the readout electronics All together, the system was more stable as last year. /modified the chilled water supply for the vertex TPCs/.

  9. LH target The target was and now working, but The time of empty the target is gone up abnormally After cleaning one of the valve go back to 7 minutes,  we need major cleaning and preparation before next year, but the guy who is doing it, very busy with other activities and he is a electrician and we need a technician also. The group who did it before is reorganized, and now nobody wants it to do. We need some action from the CERN directorate.

  10. Needed improvements Trigger connection to the DAQ At the run start up, the connection could not be establish very often After longer stop time, the trigger system must be rebooted or reconfigured. Ventilators has to be cleaned at the NIM and CAMAC creates.

  11. Shifts The system of the short time run coordinator role was tested, and it is working fine. The major problem was several times during the run: the empty shifts slots in the coming next days, several times we had to reorganize the shifters, and during the day was only one shifter.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A few cases, the shifters not arrived to CERN  Need some mail or SMS for the shifters for upcoming shifts in a few day before his shifts is started!!!!
