1 2 3 4 5 6 GROUP TASK • Each group gets ONE paper bag • Make a Dichotomous key for ALL the items in the bag. • Follow the Procedures.
PROCEDURES • First make and answer key. • Write the names of your partners and bag # on your ANSWER key. • Assign a number to each object and make up a new name “scientific name” for each object. • Example: #1--------Mollusca minuta (small shell) • May want to trace an outline of the object • Make a dichotomous key for all objects in your bag.

Grading the Keys • Switch bags and keys with another group. • Use their key to identify the items. • Write the scientific name next to the object name. • Give them a grade from 1-10 on their descriptions and accuracy of the items.
