AVBA Mission Statement The Association of Vanderbilt Black Alumni (AVBA) is an organization of alumni and students that promotes membership interaction, provides support and fosters strategic university partnerships. The organization serves as an advocate for its members within the university community and is the primary networking vehicle for black alumni. Embracing our legacy, defining our future...

AVBA Scholarship Endownment • Raised Over $135,000 in total gifts and pledges, $75,000 in actual dollars • Outreach events in various cities • Atlanta and Memphis 2011 • Chicago and DC 2012 • Goal is to increase alumni participation and reach $100,000 in actual dollars • Develop Plan for ReWarding
