Background • JISC Funded Project • Curriculum Design Programme – 12 projects • More efficient approach to the design of new curricula • New programmes are attractive, innovative, market relevant and high academic standard • Supported by electronic tools • Information produced fed into other business applications • Lean approach

  3. Current Approach • Paper process • Different formats e.g. pdf, word etc • No single source of data • No consistency of content • Unable to reuse data • No standards

Objectives • More streamlined quality processes for programme approval • User-friendly electronic processes • More efficient management of programme and module information for students and applicants • Enhance how academic schools engage with curriculum design • Implement a simplified programme structure in SITS – linear structure
