District Operations Task Force Concept: Disasters and emergencies can occur at any time. Past history has proven that counties may not always have all the resources needed to save lives and protect property. Standing alone we can might win the battle, but together we can win the war.

Task Force In-Depth Task Force Commander – responsible for all operations of the task force: • Ensuring action plans are developed and implemented • Addressing the coordination, management, and supervision of the all Task Force activities • Interacting with Incident Commander of the incident • Receives regular briefing from all functions of the task force • Ensures that training is provided to all members of the task force • Tasked with making sure the team has the proper equipment needed for response. • And many other duties as assigned
Task Force In-Depth Operations: Fire: list apparatus and personnel Law Enf.: list equipment and personnel EMS: list equipment and personnel Medical: list various medical components and personnel Public Health: Personnel and Medical Expertise
Task Force In-Depth Planning - individuals who prepare actions plan during the response phase and recovery phase Finance – individuals who keep track of purchases, records, reimbursement procedures, etc. Logistics- persons who set up the staging areas, provide responders with the materials they need to be effective.
Task Force In-Depth Safety Officer – monitors operations to ensure all individuals remain safe during the response operations. Public Information – assists with press releases, media relations and is the official spokesperson the task force.
Support It is crucial that elected officials offer support to the task force. We want to be the best prepared, equipped, and trained district in the State of Indiana. By joining all of our forces together hazards are mitigated, we are better prepared, lives and property can be saved thus lessening the economical impact disasters have on communities. United we stand, divided we fall.
