Lightning War: Definitions • Panzer divisions = armored divisions • Blitzkreig= “lightning war”; air and land attack that took the enemy by surprise • Stuka- dive bombing warplane • Sitzkrieg= lull in fighting (“sit-down war”) • Luftwaffe= GRM airforce
