Gei Wai shrimp ponds – a tradition but environmentally friendly way to grow and harvest shrimps; these plants provide the food for the shrimps
The wetland provides a wonderful place for residence of the migratory birds and local species; mud flats have been built to provide landing sites for the birds
The willow field; urban development of Sheungzhen is threatening the natural habitat
Plants grown on the pond bank have been cleared; the micro-habitat created by those plants are thus destroyed
Mangrove plants – students were asked to identify various species of mangrove plants with special adaptations to mangrove ecology
