Objectives • To synthesise the literature from a variety of disciplines in order to consider new and emerging conceptual and methodological challenges for team working structures, processes and practices. • To inspire thought and discussion through real world examples of team working challenges. • To highlight problems experienced by practitioners in introducing initiatives to improve team working in organizations. • To consider the contribution of different methodological tools in the study of teams. • To explore the ways in which a multi-level, socio-technical approach would enrich existing knowledge, understanding and practice in this area. • To bring together the ideas presented from a range of disciplines and international perspectives, and engage the audience in discussion about ways to enhance the likelihood of successful interventions across cultures.
