  8. Introduction to Website and Structures • Brief Background This training module will give you a brief overview of the structure and the technical background of the DKSH websites. All DKSH websites are created with a Content Management System (CMS), thus no special technical skills are necessary to make or edit DKSH websites. The basic structure of all country websites is predetermined and already implemented into the CMS at training time.

Click on Label to edit the page Action Button (eg. create new page, page property, set online or offline, copy and move page, etc Click on “Pages” to access the Site Structure Web page Status: Green for online, yellow for offline

View example websites • www.dksh.com • www.dksh.com/japan • www.dksh.com/switzerland • The structure of every country website is already prepared in the CMS, the required entries can be filled with content. • Some pages are mandatory (for more information contact the Website Coordinator). • For the general structure of the DKSH country websites see „Country roll-out Guide DKSH“ pages 21 to 25.

Page Types and Properties • Brief Background • A DKSH website consists of several Page Types: • Homepages; The editors create only the text for the homepages ( for more information consult the „Country roll-out Guide DKSH“ pages 30 to 45) • Content Pages; The editors create all content for the Content Pages (for more information consult the „Country roll-out Guide DKSH“ pages 47 to 70) • Service Pages: All country websites share the same Service Pages (e.g. Careers. Media). These pages are created and edited by Corporate Center *. The Services Pages are linked with global or local Databases. The content of these Databases is partially created by the editors (training module 5 gives you more information on the databases). • All information regarding the type and basic structure of a singular page is stored in the „Page Properties“ * With exception of the Careers Pages (one page can be optionally filled with local Human Resources content, local contact persons can be defined in the Related Teaser area). For more information contact the Website Coordinator.

Homepages Brief Background • Every country website consists of several Homepages • One country Homepage (e.g. DKSH Thailand) • One BU Homepage per Business Unit (maximum 4 BU homepages) (e.g. Technology in Thailand) • The editors are responsible for creating the Text Modules for the Homepages • (for detailed information consult the „Country roll-out Guide DKSH“, pages 40 to 45).

Homepages Edit Action Bar: “Edit”  edit page. “Inform about Changes”  Send email to selected person to inform about changes. “Set Offline/Online”  set the page offline or online. “Page Property”  Access to the page property Click “Back” to go back to the site structure and to unlock the page after editing. Homepages Preview Page Action Bar: “Save”  Save the page. “Save as New Version”  Create a new draft version “Hide/Show Inactive Paragraphs”  Hide or show inactive paragraphs Click “Cancel” to cancel changes. A message will be prompt to confirm leaving without saving Action Button. Click to edit the area.

  25. 4. Content Pages Brief Background • All contents of the Content Pages are created by the editors. Every Content Page • consists of a Main Area and a Related Column on the left side. • Following components of the Main Area are created by the editors: • Content Headline • Anchor Navigation (optional) • Content Modules (e.g. Text Module, Image Module, Table Module, Download Module, Contact Module) • The Related Column can hold the following components: • Country Selector, provided by CC (switch to according BU in another country website) • Contact Box (Up to two main contact persons for one page can be defined) • Related Teasers which link to another page with related content. • For detailed information consult the “Country roll-out Guide DKSH” pages 47 to 70)

  26. 4. Content Pages 4.1 Create a Content Page All possible pages of your country website are already offered in the CMS, they must simply be filled with content. It may be necessary to create a new page sometimes. Click on the action button of the category for which you want to create a new page. In the dialog box enter the name of the page (Label) and the Headline.

  27. 4. Content Pages 4.2 Text Module – preview page Action Button. Click to insert or append new paragraph, edit paragraph, delete paragraph, move or copy the paragraph, set active and inactive, etc.

  29. 4. Content Pages 4.3 Create Links Click on the action button of the Text Module and choose „Edit“. A dialog box appears: Highlight the text you want to link and click on the Hyperlink icon. Choose the type of link.

  35. 4. Content Pages 4.9 Contact Box – Related Column Select and Insert 1st Contact Person in Page Properties and if necessary 2nd Contact Person In the Related Column click on „Append“, choose „Component“ and select „ContactFirstPerson“ (and „ContactSecondPerson“ if defined).

  36. 4. Content Pages 4.10 Copy and move module (set active / inactive) Click on the action button of the module and select „Move“ or „Copy“. The textmodule is moved or copied to the according place Note: whenever you copy a module it will be automatically set inactive. Click on the action button and select „Set active“ to activate the module.

  37. 4. Content Pages 4.11 Save page as new Version After you have made changes to a page, save it as a New Version (before informing the Country Editor / Website Coordinator or setting the page live). This way all changes can be reconstructred.

  38. 4. Content Pages 4.12 Inform about Changes When updating already live pages send an „inform about changes“-notice to your Country Editor or Website Coordinator for approval.

  39. 4. Content Pages 4.13 Copy and move page Click on the action button and choose where you wish to copy or move your page.

  40. 4. Content Pages 4.14 Set page online and offline Web page Status. Green for Online. Yellow for Offline Click on the action button and select “Set offline” or “Set online”. Note: Online subentries are only visible in the front-end when the category above has been set online (green subentries are not visible when the category above is yellow).

Databases Brief Background • The following Databases are integrated into the DKSH websites: • Resources - All images and downloads used in DKSH websites • Contacts – Information on all contact persons (linked to Global Address Book) • Local Careers –Job Offers from HR-divisions in the countries • News – Local News from the Countries • Articles & Press Releases –Global Press Releases and Articles about DKSH • Corporate Publications – Local and Global Brochures • Products – Local Products (one Database per Business Unit) • If you have information or files to enter into the Media and Corporate Publications • Databases please contact the Website Coordinator. All other local content of the • Databases can be administered by the editors.

Databases 5.1 Resource Database Resources  Access to the resource database Action Bar: “New Resource”  Create a new image or download resource “Multiple new Resources”  Create multiple images or download resources in the same category For detailed information about the naming of pictures and documents see “Picture Nomenclature” and “Document Nomenclature”. For Information about picture sizes see “Overview Picture Dimensions”. It is very important to insert pictures in the correct sizes.
