Comments: • Lack of administrative and financial support in the preparatory stage (projects and patents); • University agency (or office) for technical support and aid; • Staff overburdened by teaching (mainly outside university) and domestic projects; • Language barriers; • Permanent information on EU projects (applications, follow-up, realization, reporting); • University should recruit key persons and encourage them;

  14. Advantages, chances: Experiences in FP6, mainly as third parts and partners, recently as contractors; Croatia in front of FP7; First steps towards establishing competent supporting staff (project management office); University associations and networks (European and regional);
