Here’s a short video to preview what we will be explaining N2:They come in many shapes and colors. Chorion is a thin, but protective shell. Aeropyles are tiny holes which let the egg breathe. N1: The Larva is also known as a caterpillar. This stage is the longest stage, lasting from about 2 weeks – 1 month. Caterpillars have a segmented body consisting of a head, thorax, and abdomen. Stage 3: Pupa (Chrysalis) Explanation 30-45 seconds Stage 4: Adult Butterfly Explanation 1:15-2min Credits 30 seconds N2: The adult butterfly is a flying insect. It has two pairs of scaly wings, and a pair of segmented antennae. It still has the three part body (head/thorax/abdomen), 3 pairs of jointed legs, compound eyes, and a segmented exoskeleton N1:The pupa stage in a butterfly’s life is when the larva is encased in a chrysalis and undergoes metamorphosis. This is the stage where the wings are developing.
