  3. The american dream • Set of ideals in which freedom, prosperity and success are achieved by hard work, leading to happiness. • It has as base that “all men are created equal”. • Started in 1600s. • Stereotype of the perfect home: A house with a white picket fence

Life and society in the us after the second world war • Economy grew and also prosperity. • There's a young generation (as every one else was in war) and also less people. • There was a general stability in al families, supported specially by the amount of money that was owed by the other nations. • After some years, began a race between US (capitalist) and the Soviet Union (communists)  “Cold War”

  7. Conscription us world war two • Men between 18 and 64 years (in the most extreme cases) had to go obligatory to war and first make the military service (for the younger ones) when called  this was disliked by the men and there respective families.

  9. Propaganda for conscription • Propaganda used was mostly showing the happiness of the families letting go their sons and husbands to war  totally opposite as reality. • Other type of propaganda used was the government calling for help.
