Chapter 7777Aptos, CA Live Auction BBQ Another local chapter recognized a firefighter as Hometown Hero who chose San Jose Firefighters Burn Foundation for his $100 donation. His family matched the donation, and that inspired fellow firefighters to do the same. When members heard about this, they wanted to use their matching funds to raise more money for this organization by hosting a community BBQ and auction. Leader: Reina Hoversten

Attendees were also served a free dinner that members made. Prizes were given to the teachers at the three winning tables, and the local media was there to report on the event.
