5. Earning Credits • Credits are earned by passing courses with grade of 60 or better. All high school students take the following: • Semester I: (August – Mid January) 20 Credits • Semester II: (Mid January – June) 20 Credits • 40 credits each year

11. What’s the Point? Students should work closely with their guidance counselor to ensure that they complete school with academic preparation essential to choose from a wide range of substantial post-secondary options, including college.

Course Levels • The Levels • Level 1: PE/Health, CO-OP, Title I, Study Skills, etc. • Level 2: Non-College Prep Courses (remedial courses, every-other-day arts, etc.) • Level 3: College Prep Courses , Alg. II • Level 4: Honors, Advanced, Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II Courses • Level 5: Advanced Placement Courses (AP Courses mandate that you take the AP exam and complete summer work)

We are sometimes forced by the above factors to change students’ schedules. If you have questions about the final schedule, don’t hesitate to ask.
