Certification • TxConnect Certification of Training • This training enables a person listed as a parent or guardian in the school’s student information system to gain access to their student’s Parent Portal ID. After viewing the online course and completing this form, a parent/guardian can present the completed form with a signature verifying completion of the online modules required for access , at the campus office of their student. (Please remember that Parent Portal Connect is not used at Gatesville Primary.) Parents with more than one student may need the campus secretary to make a copy of the form to present to other campuses. Please contact mworthington@gatesvilleisd.org with questions about this process. • Please complete the information below for proof of completion of the TxConnect Online Course on Gatesville ISD’s website. • 1. Accessing the System • Please print off your training certification sheet prior to starting this module • Use information from this module to complete the answers required. • Take the completed certification to your child’s campus to pick up your student’s Portal IDs. • REMINDER! Only those people listed as a parent or guardian in the school’s online system can pick up the letters.

6. txConnect • Is a web-based application designed to allow parents access to student information entered in the txGradebook. • Utilizes a replicated database populated with student information from the txGradebook. • Uses automated services to update the database and generate alerts regarding grades and/or attendance. • Supports alert notifications via email based on district configuration. • Supports the use of a single parent account to access students attending multiple campuses within the district. • Help topics are available for each section of the application. • Gatesville ISD guidelines • Gatesville ISD teachers are required to enter grades at least once a week. • Teachers can change a grade once it has been entered. • Changes/entries on the system may not show up for 24-48 hours.
