KSU via CTC:Who is choosing this route? • Students who do not meet KSU admission requirements • Students who miss KSU deadlines • Students who can’t afford KSU • Students who earned a GED instead of a high school diploma • Students who need to begin at a smaller institution
KSU via CTCSteps for successful transfer to KSU via CTC • Apply and complete the admissions process at CTC. a. submit application and fee b. submit official high school transcript via GA411 or by delivering sealed copy AFTER graduation c. submit acceptable test scores (440 math 460 critical reading) d. take the placement test if necessary e. apply for financial aid via the FAFSA
KSU via CTCSteps for successful transfer to KSU via CTC • Research the intended major at KSU - making note of general education needed for that major • Check the KSU transfer articulation web site for confirmation of what will transfer to KSU • Meet with an academic advisor at CTC for assistance with registration – register only for classes in Technical Specialist major and those in intended KSU major • Complete all learning support and English 1101 and Math 1101 before applying to KSU
KSU via CTCSteps for successful transfer to KSU via CTC • Know KSU deadlines and requirements • Meet with transfer admissions counselor as needed • Complete 10 or more college level courses at CTC and apply for the next term at KSU • Complete KSU admissions requirements including requesting CTC transcript to be mailed by KSU’s deadline

Financing This Route: • Current in-state tuition rate is $75 per credit hour with $161 in fees each semester • Fees must be paid before semester begins by posted deadline • Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act of 2011 • New document requirements to receive in-state tuition • We can help undocumented students
Navigating with Financial Aid • Must be in Technical Specialists Major • Must complete FAFSA using CTC school code • CTC offers federal and state grants and scholarships
