Research Designed by MIT creative thinkers. They used engineering problem/solution methodology Many of the contributors to this volume are interested in understanding the processes of learning and teaching mediated by whole-class interactive technologies, for example considering the ways in which interactive whiteboards (IWBs) are entering into and resourcing classroom practices (Littleton, 2101). The study results indicated that, in general, using interactive whiteboards was associated with a 16 percentile point gain in student achievement. This means that we can expect a student at the 50th percentile in a classroom without the technology to increase to the 66th percentile in a classroom using whiteboards (Marzano, 2009).
