  5. The effective teacher • Prepares, prepares, and prepares • Prepares the classroom for effective work. • Maximizes proximity to the students • Prepares a classroom environment that is organized and safe “All battles are won before they are fought.”

  6. Your Reputation Precedes You Even before you first see your students your success at winning their respect and attention may have already been predetermined by your reputation.
