My Learning Journal. By Julia Lyons 8.2. Phase 1. Tuesday. Monday. Today I watched the Kurt Fearnly video and completed the questions about him. I also looked at the goal setting PowerPoint, and did most of the goal setting sheet.

  1. My Learning Journal By Julia Lyons 8.2

Phase 1 Tuesday Monday • Today I watched the Kurt Fearnly video and completed the questions about him. • I also looked at the goal setting PowerPoint, and did most of the goal setting sheet. • Because I read and understood the goal setting criteria I can now apply this skill to my future and current projects. • When I was writing my goals for the Collaborative Unit I found it boring and meaningless. • Today, I also watched the Lotus Diagram video and completed the main key points on the diagram. • I found this useful and an effective way of remembering and planning out key points of the Cornerstone Piece. • Today I viewed the setting up a Google account video and created my Google account. • I then watched how to make a survey but found it quite boring. • After that I went to make some draft questions. • I then made my survey. • Because of this I can now use this for future projects.

  3. Thursday Wednesday • Today I did online research for my Cornerstone Piece. • I also looked at the Google searching video and now I can effectively research online. • Today I watched only 1 video: emailing your survey. • I did more research and emailed my survey to my work party.

  4. Phase 1 Friday • Today I got together with my working party and we discussed our surveys. • After we finished talking I went back and sent my survey to a further 20 people.

  5. Phase 2 Tuesday Monday • On Monday I started to put my survey data into graphs on Excel. • I did this for the whole time. • With this I can use this at later times in my life when I need to make graphs, I can just use Excel. • Today I finished putting my data into graphs and did my progress report. • After I finished all those things I did my learning journal. • It’s good for me to write a journal because then I can reflect on it later when I need to know what I have done.

  6. Phase 2 Thursday Wednesday • Today I got together with my working party and we discussed our overall progress in our Collaborative Unit. • It was useful saying what I had to do, what I have completed and what I have to do next. Right now I am quite hungry. • I also made my very first Wiki Space account. • I can now let teachers and other students access the work that I uploaded. • I also finished my Lotus Diagram. • Today I watched 2 videos: the first was How to invite your teacher which was quick. • The second was how to upload documents to your Wikispace, which I needed to watch. • I uploaded all the things I needed to upload and I finished my Lotus Diagram.

  7. Phase 2 Friday • Today I didn't do much just did some research and uploaded some stuff to my Wiki space. • Can’t learn much from doing that except the research I did.
