  2. I have decided to travel among North Africa and the Middle East in order to learn all about their culture, politics, physical geography and religion. I am first going to visit Rabat which is the capital of Morocco. My trip will start at Rabat and end at Kabul, Afghanistan. Introduction

  3. I have arrived at Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. My first impressions are were very good . Rabat is a very populated city it has 1,183,822 people. I was so hungry when arrived so I immediately went to a famous local restaurant which supposedly represented all Moroccan famous foods. I ordered the most popular dish called “Chicken Tajine with Almonds and Prunes”. Liked it very much and I realized that Moroccan cuisine was based on spices. MOROCCO Theverytasteful and yummydish I ate.

  4. While I was enjoying my delicious meal a famous singer sweetened my ears with his music. This singer was called Mohamed El Hayani, very famous there. I was told by the restaurant owner that the government in Morocco was a constitutional monarchy and that many people were against it. He also explained me that Morocco has a lot of climate diversity, it could be at 50 degrees in Rabat and –9 degrees in Fes. When I finished my meal I went to the hotel so I could rest to be ready for the next day. I woke up and went to rent a car so I could hit the road and go to Algiers, Algeria. Morocco

  5. I left from Rabat and went to Algiers which is the capital of Algeria. It was a long trip and along the road I passed along the Old Walls of Essaouira, Agdal gardens and Bin el Ouidane river. I arrived at Algiers and saw a lot of Muslim people and women with their face covered. Algiers is the largest city in Algeria and Algeria is the largest nation in the Arab world. I went to rent a motorcycle and went to a lot of monuments such as The El Jedi Mosque. The city was very dry and hot but later in the night it became a little cool and chill, very nice weather to sleep. algeria A picture I took from a helicopter , to the gorgeous city of Algiers.

  6. The next day I woke up and had for breakfast a famous meal called Chakchouka. It was very pleasant and delicious, it was like North African eggs pouched in a pepper ragout. I met up with a friend there and he told me a variety of things about Algeria. He told me that the government is an authoritarian regime meaning that it isnt democratic. Exhausted, I went to the hotel to rest and prepare to go to Lybia. algeria Thedeliciousbreakfastthat I had at the hotel.

  7. I woke up very enthusiastic about going to Lybia since I wanted to go there since I was a little kid. When I arrived at Tripoli the local authorities advised me not to enter the capital city since there was a terrible civil war going on between the rebels and the government. I took their advice and instantly went to my next destination: Cairo, Egypt. Lybia Here are the rebels who scared the hell out of me.

  8. When I arrived at Cairo I began to sweat like never before, the sand was hitting me in the face so awful is the climate in the morning and afternoon. Unlike the climate at day, in the night the weather is breezy and chill like most of North African countries. The first thing that i wanted to se was the pyramid. I all of the pyramids and they are so awesome, I was astonished, couldn't believe I was really there. Egypt Hereis a photothat I took.

  9. I hired a guide to tell me all about Egypt and to tell me which are the famous people and food. While we were walking across Cairo’s Tahrir Square, he told me that a revolution recently happened and the rebels made the “president” resign his presidency. Later she took me to a famous restaurant near the Tahrir Square. I ordered Koshary which I didn't like too much. Didn’t have the chance to meet the famous singer SayedDarwish. On my way back to the hotel I realized that the majority of the people where Muslims I saw some people leaning towards the Mecca and praying like for an hour or so. I was astonished to see how religious they were. I went to rest, and it was a cold, breezy, chill night. egypt

  10. When I arrived at Jerusalem and instantly felt that I had to go where Jesus spent most of his life. I felt very connected to my religion at that moment. I was hungry so I took a taxi and told the cab driver to take to a famous local restaurant. At the restaurant I ate Cholent which was not very good, I don't really like the combination of beans with beef and barley. Most of the population is Jewish and is very tight to its religion. Didn’t like Israel that much. ISRAEL Beautiful photo I took.

  11. Unlike Israel, Iraq was kind of too sunny and hot. Got to hate that weather. Even though the weather was like an oven, I could manage to walk a see all the touristic places it had to offer. Really gorgeous city is Baghdad but I got scared since when I was going to leave to go to Iran some there was a gunfight among some terrorist and the U.S soldiers. IRAQ Photo that I took of the gunfight, got really nervous and scared.

  12. When I got to Iran, I was so tired and stressed out since a nearly die in Iraq so I didn't do too much tourism in Iran. I only went to Teheran. In the capital city I noticed that vas very technological and progressive. There weren't many rural areas you could see buildings everywhere and they have this train system in which you can go anywhere in the country by train and it is really cheap too, too. Too bad I couldn’t use it. So the day was over and it was time to sleep so I can have energy for my last day of this marvelous trip. Got really sad because my journey was almost over. IRAn Nicepicture i took of Teheran.

  13. I woke up early and arrived at Kabul at 9:00 a.m. Didn't have so much time so I had to take advantage of it. I had breakfast at the best restaurant in Kabul. I ate mantu which is some dumplings fattened with minced onion beef. I liked this dish very much. I only had time to visit one monument at Kabul and it was the BalaHisar fort, it was pretty beautiful. One thing I noticed is that the majority of people in the middle east and North Africa is Muslim, so in Afghanistan. Before I noticed, it was time for me to return home, I was so sad, I wanted to stay longer so I could know it better. I left but took a beautiful picture of the mosque. Good times to remember.
