Networking—Assemble into five networking circles. There should be at least one student club president in each circle and LDI participants should represent different teams within the circles. Introduce yourselves, share briefly the reason why you are here tonight, and share something about your club or the Institute. The richest people in the world look for and build networks. Everyone else looks for work. --Robert Kiyosaki
Leading through Intentional Planning
Create a plan for a current team or club objective. “Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.”Paul J. Meyer
Share your plan with one of your new networking acquaintances, and note clearly how your objective supports the bigger picture of your club or the Leadership Development Institute. Dialogue—explain, question, clarify
“If you don’t know exactly where you’re going, how will you know when you get there?” ― Steve Maraboli
Planning Strategic Planning Envisioning a desired future, and translating this vision into broadly defined goals or objectives and a sequence of steps to achieve them. • The process of setting goals, developing strategies, and outlining tasks and schedules to accomplish goals. What to consider?
Steven Covey calls this “beginning with the end in mind” . . . Instead of looking forward at what you need to accomplish this week, the week after and so on, start with the target in mind and work backwards, dividing it into smaller goals.
Vision The Leadership Development Institute (LDI) at AUI in Ifrane, seeks to be a model student leadership development program for Morocco and the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. The LDI seeks to graduate students with the leadership skills and values needed to lead highly effective economic and social development programs. The LDI seeks to be exemplary in all that it does. It seeks to develop and maintain high credibility and legitimacy, and high standards of performance in its programs and for its students, staff and faculty.
I can give you a six-word formula for success: Think things through - then follow through.--Edward Rickenbacker

“Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” ― Warren Buffett A local Ifrane association’s leaves are about to fall. What could you do? Begin with the end in mind when you attempt to help a local association. Sustainability is a part of planning.
