College, Career and Citizenship Readiness NYS Vision: College and Career Readiness will ensure that all students graduate high school able to succeed in postsecondary programs of study and the workforce; that they understand and demonstrate citizenship skills; and that they may meaningfully contribute to the economic and democratic well-being of our society.

  3. EMPLOYABILITY PROFILES Employability profiles document the student’s attainment of technical knowledge and work-related skills, endorsements and licenses.

  4. They are required for… • CTE Program Approval • CDOS Credential • CDOS Graduation Pathway • Career Plan

  5. Employability Profiles Should Be …. • A “living” document • A part of the Student’s Portfolio • Shared with Students and Parents • A Student’s “TO DO” List • A Student’s Reflective Tool • Used as a Diagnostic Tool for Teachers • Helpful in Creating Resumes

  6. Employability Profiles Can Include …. • Career Readiness Skills • Career Pathway Skills • Work-Based Learning Experiences • Industry-related certifications • Technical Assessments

LAYOUT AND DESIGN SKILLS • Design a company logo • Design a company letterhead, memo, and fax forms • Design template for employee manual • Design employee recognition certificate • Design template for a business plan • Develop and design promotional materials (catalog, brochure, flyers, newsletters) • Design a company website • Design an annual report
