Core Times • Defines Start and End Times for each Shift Day • Defines the Hours type applicable for each Shift Day • Day Type • Working Day – Normal working day in the week. Either Employee should have Attendance & Labor reported or should be reported using an Absence record • Non-Work Day – Employee is not expected to work or report hours, but can do so • Not Allowed – Employee is not allowed to report hours on this day • Reduction Sets define breaks for the shift
Authorized Hours • Defined for each Shift Day within the Shift Configuration form. • Hours In Excess of Authorized Hours result in Exceptions. • Configuration may include only Regular hours or may be expanded to include all hours types. • Premium Codes can be defined for every Hours Type
Report Date Adjustment Current Day Shift starts and ends in a same day, then report date adjustment can be set to Current Day
Report Date Adjustment Previous Day Shift overlaps Day2 Shift starts at Day 1 and ends at Day 2, depends on the requirement, report date adjustment can be set Previous Day
Report Date Adjustment Next Day Shift overlaps more on Day2 Shift starts at Day 1 and ends at Day 2, depends on the requirement, report date adjustment can be set Next Day
Shift Types: Dynamic vs. Static Static Shift: • Requires Clocked Hours or ABS Hours to account for all Scheduled Working Day time. • Authorized Hours based on Scheduled Start and End Times. Dynamic Shift • Allows unaccounted for Scheduled Shift Hours to be overridden via Supervisor Authorization. • Authorized Hours based on Clock In.

Hours Definitions Clocked HoursTime that accrues between an In transaction and an Out transactions. Absent HoursUnclocked Hours during Scheduled Shift Hours. ABS HoursAbsent Hours accounted for with an ABS Task code. Booked HoursClocked Hours spent assigned to a direct order or indirect task. Unaccounted For HoursClocked Hours that are not assigned to a direct order or indirect task.
Setup Rules • Shift Record : This defines the Employee Schedule. The time employee needs to clock-in/out. • Reduction Set : This defines the break times in the Shift. Reduction Set Rules Clock-Out Rules Clock-In Rules
Rounding Parameters The Tolerances for Employee Schedule is divided into 3 categories Grace Periods – Highest Priority Penalization Rules – Applied if the punch time is outside the Grace period with relative to Schedule time. Rounding Rules – Applied if punch is outside the boundary of Grace and Penalization rules.
