  7. How UO Works • Quarter system – fall, winter, spring, and summer • Average 4 courses per term (15-17 credits) • Total credits – 180 (about 45 courses)

  8. Post-baccalaureaute students • Have baccalaureate degree completed • Take at least 45 credits at the UO • May need math or language • Must complete requirements for major

  9. ALL International Students • Attend full-time • Most courses are 4 credits • Take at least 12 credits per term • Maintain at least a • 2.0 GPA (C average)

  10. How UO Works • Fall, winter, spring, summer terms • 10 weeks of classes, 11th week is exams • Exams and assignments throughout term

  17. Getting to Know Faculty COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT……. • Visit during office hours • Email or phone • Ask questions and make comments in class • Let your professor know about anything that could affect your grade
