Performance in East Sussex • There is evidence of outstanding leadership and teaching in many schools in East Sussex. • However, performance is not consistent and progress to improve pupil outcomes across the county has been far too slow. • Far too many schools have been judged by Ofsted to require improvement or Special Measures

  5. Our targets for all key stages • Performance at all key stages in line with national averages by summer 2014 and above by summer 2015. • Gaps in achievement between those most vulnerable to under-achievement and their peers will reduce to be in line with national averages by summer 2014 and less than the national gap by summer 2015.
