Endocrine System. A gland is a group of cells that produces and secretes, or gives off, chemicals. A gland selects and removes materials from the blood, processes them, and secretes the finished chemical product for use somewhere in the body.

Directions for activityYou will be assigned to one of the 6 tables. At each table is a white board and marker and the name of one endocrine gland. Each group will have to discover what that gland secretes, the target for that secretion, and what the secretion does. If your gland has more than one secretion, try to get information on each secretion. Each group will be responsible for coming to the front of the class and presenting their findings. You should take notes on what each group is presenting. You may use any reference material available in the classroom to aid in your discovery.
