System Overview • The Premio 850R system is based on the Intel 850 chipset • Offers best performance with Rambus memory • Transitioning from socket 423 to socket 478 • Socket 423 P4 CPU will max out at 2.0GHz and is limited to the current P4 Willamette core (256K L2 cache) • Socket 478 will enable us to use the next generation P4 Northwood core with 512K L2 cache and scale from 2.0GHz and higher
Target Markets • The target segment of the 850R is the performance / power user segment • For users who want the fastest Intel based system available today • Applications (multimedia content creation software, complex graphics tool such as CAM / CAD) that are very memory bandwidth intensive will benefit from Rambus
