Progress: Development of Outreach Infrastructure • Personnel • Growth of a staff from 0.75 FTE to 5 member interdisciplinary team • New Outreach Advisory Subcommittee – Research Faculty, Communications, Outreach and Education staff. • Relationships • New Center relationships with diverse community groups based on broader non-protocol limited demographics, access to local communities, and established relationships of new hires to community groups. • Internal Resources • Centralized organization; initiative for common data platform to coordinate recruitment data capture • Explicit review of new protocols for potential foreign language populations to address limited utilization of foreign language capacity
Progress and Plans 1st year Milestones: • Team Development • Strategic Plan for Outreach and Recruitment • Expansion of Outreach Advisory Subcommittee to include key community representatives • Expansion of existing HIV Community Advisory Board to encompass broader mission as RU Community Advisory Board • Expanded involvement in more diverse community groups • Development of Internship in Outreach for public health students • Establish collaboration and support of investigators for centralized recruitment efforts • Development of central data platform to capture recruitment and outreach activities integrated into Clinical Research Information System • Expansion of procedures to promote appropriate inclusion of foreign language subjects
