LIXI – our traditional model. Traditional business model has served well for the first 10 years of our existence. The model does have limitations: Reactive model designed to deliver XML standards. Caters to member’s immediate “pain points” as identified by members. Only the most obvious opportunities / challenges surface. Bottom up approach allows inertia.
LIXI – beyond 2010 (our traditional model needs to change) LIXI needs to deliver value beyond data standards. Support its members through thought leadership. Need to be proactive in identifying and solving inefficiencies that impact multiple stakeholders in the lending chain. Recognise that in facilitating industry solutions it may not necessarily follow that a traditional XML data standard is required.
What is LIXI – beyond 2010 LIXI is a collaborative non-profit organisation that enables lending industry participants to work together to solve common industry wide problems, enhancing efficiency and customer service/satisfaction.
LIXI – Beyond 2010(collaborative non-profit organisation) Facilitate industry collaboration in areas that are non competitive by naturewith a focus still being the ability for industry participants to communicate electronically and share common data. Provide forums (conferences, seminars, working groups) for our members to contribute to improved electronic communication by sharing their knowledge and experiences and the development of standards and/or solutions. Collaboration is not just about mortgage origination standards. Other examples of issues that may be solved faster and more efficiently through collaboration are: credit and arrears reporting; conveyancing; data migration; version control and compliance reporting.
