Stage in the life cycle - The age of children Cohort Diversity – The values of society at the time e.g. The economic climate at the moment can impact on families.
Eversley and Bonnerjea – Regional Diversity David Eversley and Lucy Bonnerjea point to regional diversity. There tend to be different patterns of family life in different areas. Many costal regions attract elderly couples ‘geriatric wards’ Inner city areas have greater concentrations of lone parents and ethnic minority families in the poorer areas. Traditional rural areas have more reliance on extended family Suburbs tend to attract young families ‘family builders’
