  4. Gedagtes • ANC verkiesing maak saak, maar is verwyderd • As internasionale beleggingsbanke vir Zuma kan vra wat sy standpunt is (sou hy verkies word), wat keer landbou om ook vrae te vra? • Poging om sekerheid op onsekerheid te kry?

Gevolge • Politiekery bly top-punt op agenda vir openbare debat. • Gevolg is ons kom nie altyd by kwessies uit wat werklik mededingendheid bevorder nie. • Groter besteding aan infrastruktuur • Ontwikkeling van gepaste mense-kapitaal vir landbou • Besteding aan navorsing (LNR) • Ontwikkeling van nuwe markte • Hoe lyk handelspatrone, skep dit nuwe markte?

  6. Media • Media het belangrike rol om te speel. • Bloot inligting gee? • Of help om meer duidelikheid te werp op komplekse sake? • Media nie bloot naprater van georganiseerde landbou of regering nie. • Gaan uit ons pad om feite en balans te probeer kry – immers ons werk
