Ofsted Rigour or simplicity?
Coalition policies • Abolish BSF • Cut repairs budget • Abandon academic Diplomas • Make iGCSEs available to all • Remove Contextual Value Added • Narrow the range of qualifications scoring in school league tables • Remove academic/vocational equivalences and sharpen the distinction • Remove the relationship between curriculum time and equivalence • Target different populations for academisation • Remove early and repeated entry; introduce terminal rules • Remove modularisation • Remove Education Maintenance Allowance • Introduce English Baccalaureate • Introduce Technical Baccalaureate • Introduce Free Schools • Increase university tuition fees • Intensify GCSE filter (e.g. English Speaking and Listening)
