  5. Writing up • Does the layout work? • Does the order work? • Does it make sense? • Does it cover everything we want to say? • Does it read well? • Does it tell us anything we didn’t know? • Is there a story we can tell from the data? • Are there any gaps?

Top tips • Use the report to make the points you want to make • Keep it simple • Use the guidance, but don’t be bound by the template • Know who you need to get the information from, and contact them early • Leave enough time to chase people and fill in any gaps • If there’s nothing to say, don’t say anything
