Proposition • an interim solution for making accessible attachments to notifications • Members will supply the relevant attachments with their notification submissions to the Secretariat via the CRN (Central Registry of Notifications) • using existing procedures, CRN staff will store the attachments on a server using a simple nomenclature • the WTO official notification documents issued by the Secretariat will include a hyperlinkto the corresponding attachments on the server • users will be able to to read and download attachments at the same time as they retrieve the notifications from Documents online

  3. Implications • a simple and practical solution • uses existing applications and structures • no major investment in human or financial terms

  4. Storage of attachments on a WTO server using a simple file nomenclature based on the ISO standard country code

  5. Sample WTO official notification document issued by the Secretariat with a hyperlink to the corresponding attachment on the server
