  3. CSOM Labs • Undergrad Lab – L-108 • Available for all CSOM students School Year Lab Hours • Monday – Thursday 7 AM – 11 PM • Friday 7 AM – 6 PM • Saturday 10 AM – 6PM • Sunday 10 AM – 10 PM

  4. CSOM Labs Summer Lab Hours • Monday – Thursday 8 AM – 10 PM • Friday 8 AM – 5 PM • Saturday 10 AM – 6 PM • Sunday 10 AM – 10 PM

  5. Lab Policies • Be sure to log out when you finish • NO food or drink is allowed in computer labs • Phone is for lab consultant only • Lab consultant can call U of M escort services for you

  6. Lab Software • Windows • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) • Browsers – Internet Explorer and Netscape • Email –Labpop for undergrads • Other applications used in classes

  7. Labs, cont. • Lab consultants are present and can assist you with problems • Printing is currently free • Limit printing to 20 pages at a time • When printing PowerPoint ALWAYS use File, Print to select the appropriate options • Do not leave print jobs unattended

  11. Computer Accounts • Undergraduate Students have 2 accounts • Novell – access to CSOM lab computers • University Account • Provides email for undergraduate students • View class schedules, grades, financial accounts, and register for classes • Tip: Make all passwords the same!!

  12. Orientation Website • You can complete most orientation tasks from:http://www.carlsonschool.umn.edu/orientation • You will have to change the Novell password in the Student Lab, L-108

  13. At the end of the day . . . . • Remember to complete the online orientation evaluation from the Undergraduate page • Go to Degrees and Programs, Undergraduate, Freshman Orientation, Orientation Evaluation
