According to a study by the American Camp Association Parents, camp staff, and children reported significant growth in: Self-esteem Peer relationships Independence Adventure and exploration Leadership Environmental awareness Friendship skills Values and decisions Social comfort Spirituality

5. What Kind of Camp? Day Camp Core Camp Troop Camp Resident Camp Girl comes to camp with her troop or group (adult leader needs no outdoor training.) Includes meals, program/activities, site fee. Camp staff lead programming. Troop adults provide supervision. Girl comes to camp for the day only – might have transportation available, may or may not include meals, includes program/activities. Primarily volunteer run. Trained volunteers provide supervision. Girl comes to camp with her troop or group (adult leader must have outdoor training.) troop provides own meals, program/activities, pays a site fee. Troop adults provide supervision. Girl attends camp alone or with a same age buddy. All meals, program/activities and site fee are included. Program is staff led. Girls are supervised by trained counselors. Some camps offer family sessions or mom & me or dad & me sessions.

23. Early Bird/Spring Registration • Starts April 1 • If you have not received your spring registration packet, contact your membership manager. • Troop Leaders can email their troop members from the site, register for council sponsored programs, print rosters and membership cards.

26. Annual Finance Report & Annual Troop/Group Year-End Summary (Volunteer Essentials pg 160 & 176) DUE BY:JUNE 30

30. Year-End Summary • Brag about your troop. • Tell us the amazing activities your troop participated in this year. • What would you like to improve upon? • Include your questions/concerns.

33. Bridging • A great time to celebrate successes, both big and small. • See this ceremony as a beginning, not an ending. • Look to older girls to be role models. • Invite girls and volunteers who may be interested in participating next year.
