  2. Financed by the European Commission • Brussels based Key Expert Team • Pool of short term experts, speakers and trainers – ICMPD in consortium with ITC-ILO, OFII, FIIAPP and EMUNI • 3 years ending early 2015, budget 5 million euro, • Website launched www.euromed-migration.eu

  3. EUROMED Migration III has four components:

  4. The EUROMED Migration III approach: • Outcome-oriented (Migration Profile Process) • Dialogue facilitation and cooperationorientated • Institutional focus • Technical angle • self-learningapproach (Project Management Tool) • capacity-building support (Technical Assistance Facility)

Migration Profile Process • Objective: support efforts of ENPI South Partner Countries to ensure greater inter-institutional coordination and strengthenevidence-basedpolicymakingcapacities • Approach: All activities (meetings and trainings) are part of a whole programme - not one off events – mainstreamed into the migration profile process and road map • Key requirements: Willingness, Leadership, Ownership and Responsibility • Supported by: the Project Management Tool

Project Management Tool • Objectives: to accompany national migration profile processes and support efforts of ENPI South Partner Countries to: • manage and monitor active involvement in the project • Maximize institutional benefits of project activities • design a tailor-made, nationally owned, mechanism to support the migration profile process • Live interactive tool – operational in spring 2013 • Supported by the Technical Assistance Facility

Technical Assistance Facility • Objectives: to address national challenges in the elaboration of the national migration profile process and to make full use of the project management tool • Modalities: • Request-based • Provides access to short-term technical expertise • Steer towards relevant tools and mechanisms with the potential to further support ENPI South Partner Countries in addressing identified gaps and needs.

Next six months (January – June 2013) • 5-8 February: 2nd Irregular Migration Training – Warsaw with Polish Border Guard (including a visit to FRONTEX) • 27-28 February: 1st Legal Migration peer-to-peer Meeting – Paris with French Ministry of Interior and OFII • 16-19 April: 3rd Irregular Migration Training - Vienna • 6-10 May: 1st Migration and Development Training - France • 28-29 May: 1st Irregular Migration peer-to-peer Meeting – Budapest with Hungarian Ministry of Interior • 10-14 June: 2nd Legal Migration training – Turin with ITC-ILO • 26June: Annual Regional Conference - Brussels
