Measuring Success • 2009 Year 11 Level 1 Literacy exceeded the National average. • Overall, results were satisfactory with 50% + pass rates in 5 out of 5 internal standards. • 91% of learners achieved the basic reading Unit Standard (an Increase of 2%) and 82% passed the Visual Response Journal (an increase of 10%.) • Maori achievement improved correspondingly. • These results (including Maori Achievement) are well above the National Average. • Yr 10 Completion rates improved from 2008. • Yr 9 Pass rates improved from 2008. • Maori achievement improved. • Pasifika achievement improved significantly. • Completion rates improved from 2008.
