Homework Policy • Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday • Students are to record assignments in their student planner provided by CRCC • Parent signatures will NOT be required • Nightly Homework = 45 - 60 minutes (excludes reading) • Students who miss homework will receive a deficiency notice • Multiple missed assignments in any particular subject will result in an overall trimester drop
Weekly Folders/Communication • Check and Sign your child’s weekly folder on Fridays • Completed work, test, school and community information, and important updates • Sign and Return test that have received a grade lower than a C • Review papers with many errors = REDO • Report any concerns in the comment section • Progress reports will be sent three times a year • First conference will be held in Fall. Please sign up for a scheduled time before you leave today.
Grading • Tests, projects, and written assignments will receive a percentage and a letter grade. 100-98 % A+ 98-93% A 92-90% A- 89-88% B+ 87-83% B 82-80% B- 79-78% C+ 77-73% C 72-70% C- 69-68% D+ 67-63% D 62-60% D- 59% or below U
Absent Work • If your child is absent, please call the office for missed work by 10:00am • Absent work needs to be turned in with ABSENT written on all papers
Classroom Management • Learnball International will be used for classroom management • Teaches team building skills • Makes students accountable for their behavior • Accountability • Students have designed their own classroom rules under my guidance based on the IB attitudes • Positive: Points are awarded to opposing team • Shoot out: Ensures the tournament is NEVER over • Classroom Jobs = Responsibility

Birthdays • Wellness Policy: cupcakes, juices, or food treats are not allowed • If you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday, donate books, pencils, etc. • In class celebrations are not allowed by our administration. We ask that invitations be mailed and not delivered at school

WVUSD Volunteer Application • Policy to ensure the safety of your child • Volunteers at WVUSD will be screened • Levels of Volunteers • Category 1-One time visit with teacher notice • Category 2-Occasional, non-scheduled or frequent contact with students under the supervision of certificated staff on campus • Submit a completed application • Provide a copy of California Drivers License or ID • Clear Tuberculosis Test-Fees paid by applicant • Undergo background check using Megan’s Law each year
