What is a Goal? • It has to be important to you personally. • It has to be within your power to make it happen through your own actions. • It has to be something you have a reasonable chance of achieving. • It must be clearly defined and have a specific plan of action.
Define the Goal • What is it that you want to accomplish? • Ex: By the end of the first quarter, I will achieve a grade of 85% or higher.
Outline the Steps Needed to Achieve Your Goal • Ex: • 1. I will come to class everyday. • 2. I will participate in class and complete all class assignments. • 3. I will ask questions when I do not understand something.
