We then thought about what TYPES and ASPECTS of fitness were needed for an activity You then thought about what YOU needed SPECIFICALLY for YOUR ROLE in that activity
QUESTION Describe the range of fitness required for an activity of your choice. What were the fitness demands for a role you played in an activity of your choice.
We then thought about HOW you would GATHER INFORMATION on your fitness This is also called ASSESSING your fitness
You can gather information about your fitness in 2 CONTEXTS IN CONTEXT (within the game) IN ISOLATION (outwith the game)
Gathering information about your fitness in context This is called INITIAL DATA (GENERAL) It gives you THE BIG PICTURE It identifies STRENGTHS and WEAKNESSES
We Gather INITIAL DATA by TIME RELATED MATCH ANALYSIS SHEET VIDEO CAMERA
Gathering information about your fitness in ISOLATION This is called FOCUSSED DATA (SPECIFIC) It focusses on a specific weakness
We Gather FOCUSSED DATA by STANDARDISED FITNESS TEST e.g. COOPER TEST, ILLINOIS AGILITY TEST
QUESTION Describe how you gathered information about an aspect of fitness both within and outwith an activity of your choice. Explain why these methods were appropriate
So, you know what fitness you need for an activity and you know how to assess your fitness You will now be able to IDENTIFY YOUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
