Ongoing Activities • Diving - The Swedish Coastguard • Unmanned Vessels (SpillFinder) - Kockums • Anomaly Detection - BTH
DykSMART(Dykeri – Statens MAritima Resurser i uTveckling) • A three year project financed by MSB/Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, with the aim of developing further cooperation between divers connected to the Swedish Coast Guard and the Swedish Armed Forces, • Administration and development in cooperation with Blekinge Institute of Technology and Baltic Maritime Science Park.
DykSMART(Dykeri – Statens MAritima Resurser i uTveckling) • Project outline - follows the Costa Concordia ”lessons learned”, aiming to improve our national capacity; • Research and mapping of national capacity, and diving equipment/resources. • National mobilization strategies for people and equipment • Development of a common Standard Operational Procedure • Development of a database containing the information mentioned above, available for all 10 project partners. • Analysis of national gaps that can be solved by cooperation, by use/purchase of common equipment, or by joint development projects. • Final year; exercise - diving in sunken vessel, and possible development of a future international Baltic Sea project.
Benefits of cooperation within BMSP • Assistance with project administration, also with the international dimension during the final year of the project (contacts and meetings, for future project development). • Added project value due to the network of BMSP-contacts within projects in the South Baltic Sea area. Advantage in dissemination of project results, but also in finding connections with similar projects, which saves parallel development procedures in the same geographical area and can instead encourage further cooperation. • Cooperation within the partnership of BMSP such as Blekinge Institute of Technology when developing products, such as the database of information collected – but also with companies connected to BMSP.
