What is entrepreneurship? • Entrepreneurship is when you act upon opportunities and ideas and transform them into value for others. • The value that is created can be financial, cultural, or social.

Are we succeeding? All educational levels 10% of all Danish pupils and students participated in entrepreneurship education in 2010/2011. In total 116,000 of all 1,2 mill. pupils and students in the Danish education system.
Higher Education • 8% of all students in highereducationparticipated in entrepreneurshipeducation in 2010/2011. • 22% of all 15,816 students at Business Academies • 7% of all 2,379 students at University Colleges • 25% of all 5,4287 students in Arts & Culture • 6% of all 35,287 university students.

Impact of entrepreneurship education Basic scool – 9th grade project • Pupils who have receivedentrepreneurshipeducationare: • Happieraboutschool • More confident of the future • Higher ambitions regardingeducation and future career • More aware of theirvalue to society • Most youngpeople (95%) are positive towardsentrepreneurship • A small percentage (2,4%) are in the process of starting a company • More thanfiftypercent (53%) wouldlike to becomeentrepreneurs
Impact of entrepreneurship education University – graduate level Survey among 556 students enrolled in 15 different programs (experiment and control groups) • Entrepreneurial self-efficacy is suitable for measuring entrepreneurial behaviour. • Many of the students are in the process of starting-up: • 31% of student in entrepreneurship courses • 11% of the students in the control group

Are we succeeding? What are the outcomes and benefits? • Outcomes • YES: 10% of all Danish pupils and students participate in entrepreneurship education in 2010/2011 - an increase from the 8.4% that was measured in 2009/2010. • Target: 20% in 2020 • Benefits: • Young people are happier about school, more confident of the future, have higher ambitions regarding education and future career, and are more aware of their value to society. • High percentage of nascent entrepreneurs.
