CICC achievements • Raising the setting up home grant to £2000 • Improving the Leisure Pass application process • Influencing changes to the consent process for foster carers • Made changes to health assessments for LAC aged 14 plus – online questions
CICC achievements • Reviewed Medway’s Pledge to LAC – and made recommendations • Designed a new leaflet about LAC Reviews with the IRO Team • Set up the ‘Big Difference Web site ‘ for Medway’s LAC • Involved in the interviews and selection of Senior Managers in the Directorate
CICC achievements • Had a meeting with local MP’s to discuss issues affecting looked after children in Medway • Have a presence on the South East Regional Children in Care Council Forum held by the Dept for Education

LAC feedback • I have been a member of the Children in Care Council for over 2 years. • It’s great because I have gained confidence and I enjoy knowing that I am helping other people in care.
