A Dominican Presence at the UN/NYUnaPresenciaDominicana en la ONU en Nueva York • The worldwide Order of Preachers has a permanent presence at the United Nations in Geneva through the Dominican Network, and, currently at the United Nations in NewYork through the Dominican Leadership Conference • La Orden de Predicadoresmundialtieneunapresenciapermanente en la ONU en Ginebra a través de DominicanNetwork, y porahora, en la ONU en Nueva York como la Conferencia del LiderazgoDominicano.

3. Our joint presence at the UN is part of our mission of collaboration in preaching the Gospel of peace. Nuestrapresencia en Ginebra y New York , en la ONU, es parte de nuestramision y colaboración en el anuncio del Evangelio de Paz.

4. The NGO representative will seek to create effective means of collaboration for creating a new world order in which justice and peace prevail. Responsibilities/Responsibilidades • Llevar a la perspectivadominicana a la comunidad ONU/ONG. • To bring the Dominican perspective to the UN/NGO community. • To design a plan for effective communication; to stimulate interest, and facilitate response to UN issues. • Diseñar un plan de comunicaciónefectivo; estimularinterés, y facilitar un respuesta a los asuntos del ONU.

5. Colaborar con otros ONGs paraenfocar la atención en los asuntos e iniciativassobre la familia, mujeres, los jovenes, el medioambiente y la paz. • Collaborate with other NGOs to focus attention on UN issues and initiatives dealing with the family, women, youth , environment and peace-building. • Asistir a lassesionessemanales de información y a la conferencia annual. • Attend weekly NGO Briefings and the annual conference. • Prepare an annual budget and administer the NGO office • Preparar un presupuestoanual y administrar la oficina ONG

6. To seek possible funding sources • Explorarfuentes de recursoseconómicos • Collaborate with resource persons within the Dominican Family • Colaborar con recursoshumanos de la mismafamiliadominicana • Maintain regular communication with the Executive Director of the DLC, and with the Executive Committee. • Mantenerunabuenacomunicación con la DirectoraEjecutiva del DLC, y con el ComitéEjecutivo. • Servircomo parte del equipo del DLC • Serve as a staff member of the DLC

7. Participate in consultative process of ECOSOC in areas of DLC concern • Participar en el procesoconsultivo de ECOSOC en las areas de interés de DLC • Participar en diferentescomisiones entre ONGs • Participate in NGO committees • Prepare Quadrennial Report for ECOSOC • Preparar el Reportecadacuatroanospara ECOSOC • Communicate regularly with the membership of the DLC • Comunicación regular con los miembros de DLC

8.
