  2. 6th Grade Key Points: ●You will have eight class periods each day. ● Everyone will take a Study Skills period ● Everyone will take P.E. ● Everyone will get to choose one elective in addition to P.E.

Course Selections You will choose one from each of the following sets of courses: ● Language Arts OR Pre-AP Language Arts ● Mathematics OR Pre-AP Mathematics ● Reading OR Pre-AP Reading ● Social Studies ● Science ● Physical Education (P.E.) * may request Pre-AP and your teachers will confirm request

  4. Elective Choices: Everyone will choose ONE of the following electives to participate in the entire year: ● Choir (1 full year) ● Band (1 full year) ● Theater & Art (1 semester each)

  5. BISD MIDDLE SCHOOL (6th grade)GUIDELINES FOR PRE-AP COURSES FOR 2013-2014: Pre-AP students should be: - Energetic - Involved - Self-motivated - Passionate about learning - Committed for the year - Prepared to do ½ to 1 hour of homework per class nightly

  6. - You and your parents will look at the North Richland course selection worksheet and decide which classes to take. - Then you will log into Skyward to register for 6th grade.

  8. If you have any questions after looking at the course selection kit and talking to your parents, you and/or your parents can email me (Mrs. Holland). My email address is on the NRMS website.

  9. To select your courses you must finish online by February 17th
